Welcome to Slayer, a live action role play game based in Brighton.

SlayerLRP is a game based in a dark ages world where a great Empire once stood, but fell many several hundred years ago. Stories of this golden age are still rife and some still hold hope that one day the great days of the past will again return. For most however it is a time of hardship and strife, war is nearly constant and life is often short and painful.

To make things worse monsters, creatures, horrors that all had hoped were only stories have been seen. Once thought to be myth, they are now known to be very real. Some are no so bad, if you know what you are doing, others…. Others are worse than anything you could imagine.

When all seemed to be lost, war and monsters had all but destroyed the hope of the land something amassing happened. The 5 kingdoms (Where the game is set) managed to form a peace treaty against all odds. And what is more there came people with the power to defeat these monsters. At the time everyone was just happy to see the creatures that had plagued them destroyed.

After a time things started to get better, these monster hunters seemed content to keep to themselves and destroy all monsters that threatened the 5 kingdoms. Now people are just happy that these monster hunters are there to deal with the problems that the common folk can’t.

However as time has progressed more and more monsters have been seen, it has been 237 years since the formation of the 5 kingdoms and again we are in a time of strife and pain. The hunters can’t get to all the monsters in time and things are getting worse. A desperate gambit has been struck, some of these monsters can almost hold onto their humanity for a while. It has been decided that these monsters will be used for the protection of the greater community. Not everyone is happy about this, letting monsters walk around seems more than a little stupid, but with no other option it seems that is where we are.

This is where our story begins, all players will be one of these monsters. Will they be able to maintain their humanity in the face of all this evil? Will they be able to protect the people who are now afraid of them? Will our monsters be able to unlock the secrets of why this is all happening? Only time will tell.
